The nationally acclaimed Cheltenham Literature Festival returned to Cheltenham this weekend, after being cancelled last year. The annual event attracts a huge range of authors and celebrities; this year’s programme includes comedians, actors, politicians and sports personalities, as well as renowned authors of fiction and non-fiction. If you visit, you could expect to see anyone from politician Jess Phillips to model and actor Lily Cole to diver Tom Daley.
The festival attracts plenty of families, too, and, for the second year, students from VLUK Stagedoor Cheltenham campus were invited to take part, dressing as characters from children’s books and meeting children around the festival site. VLUK Stagedoor learner Archie, had fun dressing up as Supertato the superhero, and was mobbed by youngsters everywhere he went!
The students who took part this weekend had a great time, and will be taking part next weekend too, as the festival continues all week and finishes on Sunday 17th October.
