AFC Sudbury have been putting great emphasis on enabling the youth to flourish and has recently signed four academy players to next season’s first-team squad.
VLUK students Ben Hunter, Tom Dettmar, Kane Munday and Milo Grimes, who are currently completing their two year scholarship programme at AFC Sudbury have been chosen by Mark Morsley, AFC Sudbury manager, to build a promotion-winning side around.
Morsley is hopeful that uncovering talent from within the academy will aid their promotion push next season. He said: “They will be part of the first-team squad next season and we feel they all have the potential to be an integral part of the club for the long-term. We have looked at a number of second years, obviously some are going to the States, but these four have done very well”.
VLUK are extremely proud of the academies they work with and hope that stories like this will continue in the future. For the full story on AFC Sudbury and The Chosen Ones click here.
