Braintree and Colchester - February start

Teacher of Sport – Salary in line with MPS. TLR (2) available for candidates that demonstrate the ability to take on Assistant Curriculum Leader responsibilites.

The directors of VLUK seek to appoint a committed, dynamic, qualified full or part time teacher to deliver on a BTEC Sport and Education programme at two professional club locations in Essex.

Experience of BTEC Sport is essential, along with demonstration and experience of outstanding teaching practice. The post would suit new entrants to the profession, as well as qualified Sports teachers with experience of responsibilities within a department. Progression routes lead to Vice Principal positions.

Those taking on assistant curriculum leader responsibilities, support their line manager in overseeing professional sports clubs in the delivery of all aspects of 16-18 Sport and Education Scholarships across a region. This includes quality assurance and some internal verification work. The post involves the management of approximately 2-4 clubs, under the direction of the Vice Principal.

VLUK is one of the country’s largest Sports and Education providers, with an established track record of working with professional sports clubs since 2006. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, focussed on improving the standards of teaching, learning and achievement for young people.
