Students who are looking to move into the next stage of their school career, after GCSEs, will be thinking but ‘What’s next?’. When you’re considering your choice of course, following your GCSEs, it’s important to think about what will the completion of that course enable you to do. The majority of VLUK students progress to higher education following their BTEC courses but there are many other opportunities. Recently Forest Sports Education (FSE) student, Marco Bowen, has gained a role with Prostars coaching company.
Marco joined FSE in September 2018 studying on the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport course and has shown a keen interest in coaching. Therefore, Marco has been provided with the opportunity to gain some experience coaching in primary schools with Prostars. Marco took this opportunity with both hands. Through the dedication and determination to do well within his coaching sessions, Marco has been offered a role as a sports coach with the company. Well done Marco!
FSE have experienced professionals on site to help our students develop as potential employees for the future and Prostars have supported Marco to help prepare him to coach effectively in Primary Schools.
