Oxford City FC Academy
Velocity is the academy programme at Oxford City FC. The programme is the only one of its kind in Oxfordshire that holds academy within The National League Structure.
Established in 1882, Oxford City Football Club is based in Marston, Oxford and competes in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football. At VLUK - Velocity you can train, play, learn, and achieve, both in your game and education.
In 2020 we introduced a bespoke female academy programme started for 16-18 year olds. Oxford City FC is based just minutes off the Oxford ring road at Marston. It hosts a 3G FIFA Pro pitch and a second 3G training pitch, a mini gym, classrooms, changing rooms, and social areas. New for season 2020-21 was the launch of onsite pop-up lunch and recharge hubs serving protein shakes, healthy lunches, and snacks. Our head academy coach is assisted by a UEFA B coaching team plus Ignite Sport UK, in-house personal trainer, sports therapists and Strength & Conditioning coaches.
The academy programme was originally launched in 2001 and has alumni within The Premier League and most tiers below. With a wealth of experience and a professional, regulated and knowledgeable management and development team, VLUK Velocity is the revamped name for the academy programme and the name to be part of for all aspiring footballers within Oxfordshire.
