A Day Out

Posted on

Learners at our ASA Stagedoor campus were incredibly fortunate to be able to watch a performance of Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre in the West End this week. They also managed to enjoy incredible seats in the stalls as well as being involved in a technical demonstration of the lights, stage manager show calling and sound system operation. They then heard from the cast members, who gave them an insightful view of their careers, the show and the processes involved in gaining their jobs.
Many of our learners were moved to tears by the performance, some of which had never seen a West End show before. It was a truly wonderful day, and as rewarding for the tutors as it was for the learners. Alana Shirley, campus tutor, said "It was a great way for our learners to be inspired to follow their goals of careers in the arts".
