Army Visit

Posted on

Our Long Eaton campus learners had a visit from the British Army STEPS programme to discuss pathways for learners to enrol into the variety of roles currently on offer within the armed forces. Two corporals from Catterick made the trip across to Long Eaton to discuss their personal journeys with the learners and were keen to answer any questions that the learners had.

Long Eaton tutor, Liam said "It was a great opportunity for the learners to learn about alternative pathways post programme. It’s important to offer a variety of positive exit routes to our learners so they can remain focused in BTEC sessions to maximize their grade potential and to give them a goal and career path to strive for. The learners were captivated by the potential of continuing a football pathway in the armed services."
