Audition technique

Posted on

Stagedoor Learning Year 13 learners had a full day working with industry professionals, focusing on audition technique and the details in monologues and solo songs. They were very lucky to be joined by Bryn Holding, who, as well as being a freelance writer, dramaturg and director, teaches, directs and sits on audition panels for several top UK drama schools, and Tamsin Kennard, who is a professional musician, vocal teacher, MD, writer and performer. During the morning, each learner took part in a mock audition, which gave them the experience of what a professional audition might be like, and to get specific and targeted feedback from and then in the afternoon, a number of learners workshopped their pieces with Bryn and Tamsin.

The day was incredibly useful for all of our learners, and a fantastic opportunity to work with such amazing professionals.
