Born To Perform

We are delighted to announce that three learners from our VLUK Born to Perform Derby Campus have been professionally cast to work with Plus One Performance Company, providing them with an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience within the performing arts industry.

The learners will join an existing ensemble for a professionally lit and filmed promotional shoot on the Derby Theatre stage, performing a high-energy musical theatre piece from Hamilton.

Working alongside professional actors and singers, the learners will bring their dance and movement skills to the production while gaining valuable experience of performing for camera in a professional theatre environment.

Opportunities like this are an important part of the Born to Perform College experience. Alongside developing their technical and performance skills through their studies, learners are encouraged to engage with industry professionals, collaborate with other creatives and build practical experience that can support their future careers.

This latest opportunity highlights the value of combining high-quality training with meaningful industry experience while still at college.
