Boxing Success

VLUK are proud to highlight the success of two of the Joe Gallagher Boxing campus learners, year 12 learner, Ellie Traynor and year 13 learner, Joe Peel who recently won the England Boxing Youth Championships.

Ellie, who boxes for Tigers abc in Leeds won the the under 46kg category, winning both the semi final and final bouts via unanimous decision.

Joe, who boxes for Halliwell ABC in Bolton won the under 63kg category, winning the quarter finals via split decision and then winning the semi finals and final via unanimous decision.

This is a huge achievement from two very dedicated learners. As a result of winning these national championships both learners have now been selected to represent England against Scotland and Wales within a Tri-nations tournament in June.
