Cheer up Charlie

Posted on

Learners from our ASA Theatre Arts campus recently travelled down to London to perform at the launch show of the Charlie Kristensen Foundation at The Lyric Theatre in the West End. Charlie Kristensen, known as Cheer Up Charlie, is a professional performer and anti-bullying ambassador. He started his training with singing lessons at ASA for five years before moving to London. He is now a Patron of ASA providing a boy’s scholarship. The learners were invited to perform alongside huge names in the theatre industry such as, Divina Decampo, Anna-Jane Casey, Julie Atherton, Renee Lamb and Jacob Fowler to name but a few! Our learners performed a stunning ensemble number with some even taking solos. ASA Tutor, Elle, said "This was a West End debut for many of our students, and was a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience, for a fantastic cause".
