Eastleigh International

Our VLUK Eastleigh Campus learners have recently had two enrichment opportunities to compete against touring teams. Both a USA and a Kenyan team have been touring the UK and contacted Eastleigh to arrange competitive fixtures.

Before the Easter break, our learners drew 1-1 with the American team and since returning from holidays, competed against the Kenyan team and managed to beat them 14-1.

Jason Brookes, VLUK Enrichment Officer, said ' We had a competitive fixture against a team from America which provided our boys with a completely different technical and tactical challenge than we are usually accustomed to. The opposition pose more of a possession based style with very technical players. Following this game a great opportunity was provided for our boys to face a Kenyan touring team who had a very competitive attitude towards the fixture. They posed a more athletic and physical approach to our players than what we were used to, so these fixtures against different opposition from various countries challenged our boys and was very beneficial to us'.

Once again, VLUK learners are continually offered varying opportunities to enhance their experience with our campuses.
