Lesotho Charity Work

Posted on

Our Eastleigh campus learner, Jack, travelled to Lesotho recently to volunteer in high schools to raise awareness of HIV. He delivered sessions both in class and practically to raise awareness and educate students on the disease and how it spreads. Jack's Grandfather is originally from Lesotho and Jack's Dad has been undertaking this responsibility for a number of years. For the past 2 years Jack has gone along to help too.

Jack said "I really enjoyed myself in Lesotho where I made friends from all over England and other countries with the tour group and was able to teach underprivileged children about HIV and hopefully make them aware of how bad it can be for them and ways to prevent it."

Following Jack's return, the other Eastleigh learners discussed the amazing opportunity that Jack had undertaken and there was a interesting conversation about volunteering and possible way to help others.
