NFYL All Stars

Posted on

Current second year learner, Eddie Panter, has recently been selected for the prestigious NFYL All Stars. Eddie, who is on the education programme at VLUK Northampton Town Campus, took part in the National Football Youth League trials held in Oxford last October and progressed to the last stage of the trial held in February at St George's Park, where he was one of the 26 players selected.

The All Star team is formed of a selection of players from the league, who will play different friendlies against some EFL clubs, which will give Eddie the chance to showcase his talent.

Fran Constancio Calvo, Enrichment Officer at Northampton campus, said of Eddie's progression: "Eddie was a great addition to the programme last year.  He has some attributes that you can't coach; his passion, winning mentality, and his natural ability to create scoring opportunities. I wish Eddie all the best in the games he will be playing for the All Stars, it is an opportunity for him to showcase and who knows what can come for him next. Hopefully, a great experience overall and some interest around him".
