VLUK Chatham town campus girls U21 won the NFYL trophy on Wednesday 1st May! They were playing Wath Academy at Sixfields Stadium in Northampton. The score was 2-0 to the girls. Goals from Holly Theobald and Maisy Rogers gave the girls the win. It was an early strike from Holly that gave the girls a 1-0 lead in the first few minutes of the game. There were more chances in the first half for the girls to take the lead. Maisy Rogers missed an absolute sitter when taking the ball around the keeper, pushed the ball just past the post but made up for it later in the half with a tap in to make it 2-0 to the chatham town girls u21. The second half Wath academy had more of the ball and chances to equalize but the girls held on despite a scare at the end of the game in added time where the ball bounced down off the crossbar but quick defending got away. In the end the girls held onto their 2-0 lead and won the NFYL trophy.

Chatham tutor, Lauren, said "Really well done girls! I know they overcame tough opposition to make the final and to go on and win in the final is amazing. We are proud of all of you!"
