Ravers Posted on 02 April 2025 Stagedoor Learning Year 12 learners are performing Ravers by Rikki Beadle-Blair this week as part of National Theatre Connections 2025. Connections is an annual festival run by the National Theatre, for which ten playwrights write ten new plays for young performers. Our play, Ravers, is by award winning playwright Rikki Beadle-Blair, and is about a group of neeks (nerds and geeks) who decide to host a rave in a park. The play is funny, heartwarming and uplifting. This week, the group completed a sold out three night run of Ravers in the Everyman Theatre studio, and next week will be transferring to the Swan Theatre in Worcester. Year 12 learner comments included: Gabby - "I'll be sad when it's over, it's fun and vibrant, especially for our age group" Renée - "We're all grateful for the opportunity to perform at the Everyman, and it brings us joy to perform in front of our friends and family" Paul - "We've all really enjoyed the creative freedom of performing a new play and being able to choose music and choreograph the rave sequences"
