Soccer Aid!

A group of our learners recently had the fantastic opportunity to volunteer at Soccer Aid, contributing to one of the UK's biggest charity sporting events.

The learners were selected to take part as flag bearers, proudly carrying the large circular flags onto the pitch as part of the pre-match ceremony in front of thousands of spectators. It was an exciting chance to be involved behind the scenes at a major televised event while supporting a worthy cause.

The learners described the experience as "incredible" and thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a special occasion. They were extremely well looked after throughout the day, with refreshments, pizza and complimentary seats to watch the match after completing their volunteering duties.

As well as witnessing the action on the pitch, the event also provided plenty of opportunities for celebrity spotting, adding to the excitement and making the day even more memorable.

The experience gave learners a valuable insight into volunteering at large-scale events while supporting the important fundraising work of Soccer Aid. It was a great day for a great cause, and one that our learners will remember for years to come.
