AFC Portchester
AFC Portchester is one of the fastest growing clubs in Hampshire and recipients of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for services to the local community.
The ambition of the club is being matched with performances on and off the field, with the club competing well in domestic competitions alongside building works to the stadium. This is an attractive place to play and watch football.
The club has youth at its heartbeat with over 38 junior teams competing in various leagues and competitions. The AFC Portchester Campus offers the chance for young people to develop as a player and as a person whilst continuing their academic studies. We offer a competitive games programme like no other. Our teams will be competing in the Hampshire U18 League, National Youth U/19 Alliance, FA Youth Cup and National Football Youth League. Learners may have the opportunity to gain valuable life experience working within match day operations for first team home games, coaching through our large selection of teams from youth up to senior level, helping with stewarding, working in the club shop, as well as other roles around the club.
The opportunities for young players are clear to see, with a direct pathway to the first team such as Andy Rinomhota, now of Cardiff FC, showcasing the development available. The club has a great network of experienced staff who have supported players in the professional and semi-professional game.
At the AFC Portchester Campus learners will have access to high level football coaching delivered by coaches with experience of playing professional football and working with professional academies. There are partnerships and pathways with professional football clubs, Universities, US Scholarships and employers offering lots of future career opportunities.
WHY CHOOSE AFC PORTCHESTER CAMPUS? The growth of the club on and off the pitch means we are looking for learners who are not just footballers, but young industry professionals too.
