Haddon Institute of Performing Arts

VLUK - Haddon Institute of Performing Arts is a full-time Post 16 Academy offering courses in Performing Arts Musical Theatre. Studying at Haddon Institute is all about reaching your full potential. Our learners participate in rigorous full-time training of 20+ hours a week on their chosen pathway. Over 2 years, students complete a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Musical Theatre.

Haddon Institute of Performing Arts is a brand new college in custom designed studio spaces offering BTEC courses in performing arts. We specialise in creating well rounded performers with knowledge in all areas of performing arts from singing, dancing and acting to set design, stage management and circus skills giving performers everything they need for a future career within the industry.

Over your 2 years with us, you will create theatre for community members, work with local schools on work experience projects and participate in workshops with visiting specialists. You will also be the production team for a full-length musical, produce a musical review performance, create show reels, work with casting agents, complete audition preparation for university applications/casting opportunities and lots more. These experiences will help you create priceless memories that will last you a lifetime as well as prepare you for the performing arts industry.

We ensure a nurturing and loving environment for all our young people to ensure that their talent and their passion has the room to grow and develop. At Haddon we believe that everyone has the ability to succeed. To help us achieve this we have an onsite SENCO who ensures that any students with additional needs can access our curriculum. Our pastoral care is at the heart of everything we do. Each student will receive 1-2-1 tutor time as standard. As staff, we are very accessible for any issues or difficulties and pride ourselves on being a caring and compassionate performing arts family.
