Maldon & Tiptree FC Academy

Our full‑time programme for 16–18s blends classroom study with a professional, day‑to‑day football experience. Learners train under our UEFA‑qualified coaching staff, represent Maldon & Tiptree FC in league and cup fixtures, and are eligible for FA Youth Cup selection. We operate First‑ and Second‑Year squads to ensure appropriate challenge and game time.

The internal pathway is clear: U18s → U21s → First Team for those who meet performance standards. Equally, our promise is to every learner. We set an individual development plan (IDP) using agreed KPIs — position‑specific demands, technical/physical benchmarks, mindset, and club requirements — and we use the Club’s strategic partnerships, loan routes and introduction to USA with U.S Sports Scholarships to source the right opportunity at the right time where that best serves the player.

Learners are fully embedded in club life: training and matchdays are on site, with access to the stadium pitch and club house (including on‑site lunch options). Each learner receives a defined matchday role at every men’s First‑Team home game, gaining hands‑on experience across operations, media and community programmes. Throughout the year, learners meet scouts, coaches and managers and gain insight into our social media and communications workflow, including sessions with external professionals.
